Interests: Intravenous Vitamin Therapy, injection therapy, prolo therapy, ozone therapy, sports medicine, pain management

Hi, my name is Scott and my passion lies in treating pain. Whether you have a known injury in need of healing and rehabilitation, or if your pain is due in part to chronic conditions, stress, digestive issues, or lack of sleep.

I approach pain with the objective of treating its cause. In some cases this means using injection therapies to stimulate the healing of damaged tissues, and in other cases that means resolving underlying conditions that contribute to pain.

In practice I use regenerative injection therapies, IV nutrient therapy, lifestyle counselling including dietary habits, and herbal/nutrient supplements to accomplish each patients goal.

Before I completed my Doctor of Naturopathy degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, I studied kinesiology for a Bachelor degree from San Diego State University and a Masters degree from Wilfred Laurier University with a focus in low back and shoulder pain.

I continually immerse myself in learning about what causes and contributes to pain, and how we can best treat it.

In my spare time you can find me getting outdoors. Hiking and camping are some of my favourite activities, and seasonally you can find me in the water or skating on it when it freezes.

I love what I do and love seeing the transformation that happens when my patients work toward resolving their pain and getting back to what they love most.

Types of IV therapy offered

A standard Meyers is composed of Vit C, B-vitamins, magnesium and calcium, in doses that you otherwise couldn’t get orally. This is based on original work by late Dr. John Myers, MD, and modified to current standard of practice. These nutrients are delivered intravenously making them highly bioavailable. A Meyer’s IV can be used for a number of reasons, some published uses include: fatigue (including chronic fatigue syndrome), fibromyalgia, acute muscle spasm, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic sinusitis, seasonal allergic rhinitis, cardiovascular disease, migraines, depression, among other disorders.

Our formulas are developed based on the best available evidence, though we customize the bag to meet each patients individual needs.

Vitamin C plays a crucial role in many processes in your body. It is necessary for collagen production, iron absorption, wound healing, repair of all body tissues, immune cell functioning, and as a powerful antioxidant. Through some of these roles, it contributes to the prevention of chronic conditions such as heart disease, chronic infections, neurodegenerative disorders, eye diseases, and cancer, among many others.

Glutathione is your body’s master antioxidant which takes care of oxidative stress imposed on your body. Oxidative stress is a state when certain substances have been broken down into free radicals, molecules that are capable of causing damage to cells or DNA. Oxidative stress and free radicals have the potential to cause damage analogous to metal rusting, or fruit turning brown. Many conditions have a root in oxidative stress, such as cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, hypo-pigmentation, neurodegenerative diseases, and many age-related diseases. This makes glutathione a powerful treatment and a great option in many conditions.

Nicotinamide adenosine dinucleotide, commonly known as NAD, is a powerhouse of cellular energy production. You probably remember from grade 8 science class that the mitochondria are the powerhouse of cells. Well without NAD the mitochondria can’t produce much energy. In a sense it is the fire in a coal combustion engine, such as on a train. Without the fire, you won’t produce the energy needed from coal to move forward. Similarly, without NAD you can have all the glucose needed to derive energy from, but your body won’t have a way of driving the enzymes forward to extract or produce that energy. NAD is found in every cell in your body and without it your body may not be producing enough energy to sustain all it’s functions that keep you feeling well. With NAD IV therapy, we are hand delivering your cells with the necessary ingredients to produce energy. This becomes especially important in conditions where energy production is at the root of the issue. Patients often walk away from an NAD IV feeling energized, having increased mental clarity, and with improvements in mental health such as decreased symptoms of depression or sense of need for substance abuse.
